The Expo site will be fully cashless, which is a first for any World Expo. Cashless payment will be the only method of payment for purchases and dining at the Expo site, as cash will not be accepted. Visitors without cashless payment methods will need to purchase a prepaid card in advance.
Cashless payments involve using methods such as credit cards, electronic money, or smartphone-based code payments instead of physical cash (bills and coins). This payment method has become increasingly common in recent years, and is widely used in various scenarios such as convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and online shopping.

Prepare Your Cashless Payment Method Before Visiting Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan
If you do not have cashless payment methods such as credit cards or electronic money, we recommend using MYAKU-PE! (electronic money) through the EXPO2025 Digital Wallet operated by the Association, purchasing a prepaid card* that can be charged and used within the Expo site, or preparing other means of cashless payment in advance.
