【Reflection】
Multifaceted discussions were held on the themes of “The
Future of the Digital Society” and “Revitalizing the Japanese
Economy through Next-Generation AI,” based on advances in AI
technology and long-term economic forecasts. Addressing
challenges such as population decline and falling
productivity, the necessity of structural reform through AI
and AGI utilization was highlighted, with particular emphasis
on growth strategies in fields like AI, semiconductors, and
healthcare. The importance of human resource development and
institutional frameworks was also shared, alongside
perspectives framing AI as “technology that extends human
capabilities.” A direction was outlined for balancing
technological innovation with social transformation, making
this a valuable opportunity to stimulate future
discussions.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
The Nikkei has been disseminating information on AI-based new
industrial fields and business opportunities through various
channels to advance the social implementation of AI and
promote talent development. We intend to continue these
activities going forward.
