The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will launch a “Reuse Matching Project” to ensure sustainable operations and the effective use of resources after Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) as part of the “Green Expo” one of the future society showcase projects.
Seven sponsors have been selected to plan and operate the “EXPO CIRCULAR MARKET MYAKU-ICHI!”, an online system to facilitate the Reuse Matching Project. Applications for sponsors of the Reuse Matching Project will be accepted until the opening of the Expo in 2025. New sponsors will be announced on the official website of the Association as they are decided.
About the Reuse Matching Project
The “EXPO CIRCULAR MARKET MYAKU-ICHI!” (hereafter referred to as “MYAKU-ICHI!”) online service provides a service to match supply and demand for the reuse of venue resources at the Expo. The Expo will act as an opportunity to promote the reuse of facilities and equipment throughout Japan and work towards reducing industrial waste and achieving a circular economy. For major facilities such as Pavilions and the Grand Roof, an enquiry desk will be set up on the “MYAKU-ICHI!” to conduct hearings with potential users. For the reuse of building materials and equipment, there will be a bidding system on “MYAKU-ICHI!”.
