The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition will promote Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) at Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF2024) (Taipei, Taiwan, 1–4 November 2024), ADIPEC 2024 (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Duration, 4–7 November 2024), China International Import Expo (CIIE2024) (Shanghai, China, 5–10 November 2024), Visit Japan FIT Fair #16 (Bangkok, Thailand, 8–10 November 2024), and China International Travel Mart (CITM2024) (Shanghai, China, 22–24 November 2024).
At each event, a PR booth will be set up to share information and promote the appeal of the Expo. The official character MYAKU-MYAKU will appear at the venue for a meet-and-greet with visitors, and there will be a gift campaign for those who post photos on social media. This will be the first appearance of MYAKU-MYAKU in Shanghai and Abu Dhabi.
With less than half a year to go until the Expo opens, we will actively promote the Expo’s attractions globally and promote specific events to build momentum, raise awareness, and promote ticket sales overseas.
1. Taipei International Travel Fair 2024 (ITF2024)
Dates: Friday 1 – Monday 4 November
Venue: Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, Floor 1 and 4 (Taipei, Taiwan)
Overview: Taiwan’s 32nd annual international travel expo. Last year, 104 countries and regions exhibited at the expo, attracting approximately 344,000 visitors. During the expo, tourism-related companies and organizations from around the world will exhibit and stage events will be held.

2. ADIPEC 2024
Dates: Monday 4 – Thursday 7 November
Venue: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates)
Overview: One of the largest energy industry exhibitions in the world. Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan’s sustainability initiatives will be introduced at the Japan Pavilion.

3. China International Import Expo 2024 (CIIE 2024)
Dates: Tuesday 5 – Sunday 10 November
Venue: National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai, China)
Overview: A general trade fair specialising in imports. Since CIIE was first held in 2018, it has been held at the same time every year. The previous CIIE recorded more than 3,400 exhibitors and more than 390,000 visitors.

4. Visit Japan FIT Fair #16
Dates: Friday 8 – Sunday 10 November
Venue: Siam Paragon 5F (Bangkok, Thailand)
Overview: One of the largest travel promotion fairs in the Thai market held by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). Last year, sales of travel products to Japan amounted to approximately 374 million yen. General consumers who are interested in traveling to Japan visit the fair to make the actual travel arrangements.

5. China International Travel Mart 2024 (CITM2024)
Dates: Friday 22 – Sunday 24 November
Venue: National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai, China)
Overview: One of the largest travel fairs in Asia hosted by China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Held biennially with Kunming in Yunnan Province, this year’s event will be held in Shanghai and is expected to attract more than 112,000 visitors from last year. As this is the largest event in China’s travel industry, it attracts a lot of attention from the travel industry and consumers and has received a lot of media exposure.
