The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will declare the Expo open and conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday, 13 April 2025, the day that Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) opens to the public.
The ceremony will include an opening declaration by TOKURA Masakazu, Chairperson of the Association, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming the guests of honour. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendant staff from the Official Participant Pavilions and Pavilions for Private Sectors, the Chairperson of the Association, and guests of honour, will be present to welcome visitors.
The ceremony will be accompanied by fanfare and other musical performances from the Self-Defence Forces Music Corps. The Music Corps will also give a musical performance (with visual accompaniment) at the opening ceremony on Saturday, 12 April 2025.
