The theme of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” This is a national project for the international community. As the environment around us changes at an unprecedented pace, they will co-create a sustainable society in which each individual can make the most of his or her own “life” and think about the way of life that he or she wants to live.
In particular, the Covid-19 pandemic has prompted us to reconsider our way of life and society. At this very moment, life is in danger and a paradigm shift is taking place in the world economy and society. Against this backdrop, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, which is held under the theme of “life,” is timely, and I feel that the expectations of the world are increasing.
In order to realize the theme of this Expo, we would like to invite many people from the preparation stage to participate in the creation of a place where new ideas are generated one after another under the concept of “People’s living lab” and where we can challenge various technologies and projects for social implementation.
With this Expo as an opportunity, the government, the business community, local governments, and other concerned parties will make all-out efforts to create with the world a new social image beyond Covid-19.
