Step-by-Step Guide from Purchasing Tickets to Admission

Tickets for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan are e-tickets.
You can purchase them with your smartphone or computer from the official ticket sales website.
When you purchase tickets on the official ticket sales website directly, you need to register for your ExpoID first.
Please read the following steps carefully and proceed to the ExpoID registration site and the official ticket sales website.

If you are unfamiliar with electronic tickets, you can purchase them from travel agencies or other sellers.

STEP1 Before purchasing tickets, register for your ExpoID.

What’s an “ExpoID”?

An "ExpoID" is a common login ID used for various services of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
By registering for an "ExpoID," you can purchase tickets, make bookings, and experience various services and content that will be announced in the future.

What you need to register for an "ExpoID"

  • Email address
  • A device for which screen unlock functions such as biometrics, passcode, pattern, PIN, etc. have already been set (* Refer to the "Identity Verification Setup Guide" for details on setting up each device)

Even if you purchase admission tickets for all of your family, an ExpoID still needs to be registered for every family member who will visit.
If you are under the age of 16 or do not have a device that can perform screen lock authentication, such as biometric authentication, you can have a family member or proxy accompanying you to set it up on your behalf.

  • Participate in lotteries for booking to see pavilions, events, exhibitions, etc.

STEP3 Book your admission date and time!

Decide on a day to go to the Expo and book your admission date and time.

We will announce the booking page after Autumn 2024.

Basics of Booking Admission Date and Time

For the purpose of ensuring the safe and smooth movement of visitors, the Expo will have a system that requires visitors to purchase an admission ticket, set an admission date, and book a date and time in advance before visiting.
Bookings for admission dates and times will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, starting six months prior to your desired admission date.
Please note that if you purchase a "Super Early Bird One-Day Ticket" and win the pavilion special lottery held in advance, your admission date and time may be decided earlier than six months prior to your visit.

Changing Admission Date and Time Booking

You can change the admission date and time up to three times (However, it is limited to the admission period set for each type of ticket). If you are unable to visit on the booked admission date and time, you can change it to a later date and time. Even if you are unable to visit on the booked admission date and time after making three changes to the booked admission date and time, you can still use "Same-Day Admission Booking" if a booked slot is available after 0:00 AM on the day of your visit. "

Booking Admission Dates and Times for Multiple-Entry Passes

For the Summer Pass and the Season Pass, you can book the date and time for the Summer Pass two times and for the Season Pass three times before your visit. After one visit, you can book the admission date of your next (Summer Pass: third | Season Pass: fourth) visit, and so on. You can change your booking as many times as you like within the validity period of your Multiple-Entry Pass.

STEP4 Make a booking to see pavilions, events, exhibitions and more!

You can make a booking to see pavilions, events, exhibitions, etc. according to the booked date and time of your visit.

Bookings for Viewing Pavilions, Events and Exhibitions

You can make a booking to view pavilions, events and exhibitions at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan according to the admission date and time you booked in Step 3.

Groups such as family and friends can join lotteries and make bookings together, and register on the day.

*There are some pavilions that do not require advance pavilion booking or same-day registration, and allow visitors to enter by standing in line.

When to Book a Viewing

From 2 months prior to your admission date to your actual admission date, there are a total of 3 booking opportunities (lottery participation [2 months prior and 7 days prior to the day of the lottery] and first-come-first-served applications for vacant slots [from 3 days before to the day before]) before your admission date.

The Super Early Bird One-Day Tickets have an additional booking opportunity as a bonus.
(Lottery applications are scheduled to take place from September 25 to October 6, 2024, and the lottery winners notified on October 12) "
