Practically every day is a National Day or a Special Day

What are National Days and Special Days?

During the Expo, countries, regions and international organisations that officially participate in the Expo, known as “Official Participants”, will hold a National Day (for countries/regions) or a Special Day (for international organisations) on a designated day.
National Days and Special Days are days to honour the participation of the Official Participants. They will be held to deepen the understanding of the culture of the Official Participants and to contribute to the promotion of international goodwill.
On these days, distinguished guests from Japan and abroad as well as general visitors will be invited by the Official Participants to attend the ceremonies and cultural events, allowing them to experience and enjoy diverse cultures and traditions.
