Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will feature a diverse array of events designed to be thrilling and exciting while also providing opportunities to learn and discover new things.

During the Expo, countries, regions and international organisations that officially participate in the Expo, known as “Official Participants”, will hold a National Day (for countries/regions) or a Special Day (for international organisations) on a designated day.
National Days and Special Days are days to honour the participation of the Official Participants. They will be held to deepen the understanding of the culture of the Official Participants and to contribute to the promotion of international goodwill.
On these days, distinguished guests from Japan and abroad as well as general visitors will be invited by the Official Participants to attend the ceremonies and cultural events, allowing them to experience and enjoy diverse cultures and traditions.

Held every day after sunset during the Expo.
A dynamic, spectacular show that lights up the entire venue with synchronized sound, lighting, projection mapping, and drone displays. Anyone can join the experience from anywhere simply by posting their wishes for the future via the Virtual Expo app.
“One World, One Planet.” is a program that people both inside and outside the Expo site can join at any time, simply by posting their wishes via the Virtual Expo app.
The One World Tree inside the Virtual Expo grows as altruistic wishes—for someone’s happiness or health, or the future of the Earth—gather from around the world.

Scheduled to be held daily at Future Life Zone at the Expo Venue
The place built with light-permeable materials ETFE film* is created brighter with LEDs. It is harmonizing with nature of Osaka Bay times go by in every season and manifesting for the co-creating future society on tone of “soft and warm”. The combination of traditional and innovative sauna styles provides a new and Japanese-ish narrative experience.
*ETFE film: high-performance fluoropolymer rolled into film form. It is attracting attention as a material that can replace glass for new architectural expression.

“Under the Midnight Rainbow” is a spectacular show performed on the “Water Plaza,” the water surface inside the Grand Ring, and features a show of water, air, light, fire, images, and music. On the water surface, a huge stage space will be created approximately 200 metres wide, approximately 60 metres deep, and with a show area of approximately 8,800 square metres.
Scheduled to be held daily at the Water Plaza after sunset during the Expo (184 days)
Public Art by international artists from diverse national, regional and ethnic backgrounds will be exhibited throughout the Expo.
As well as adding cultural color and enrichment, the project aims to encourage dialogue and interaction among visitors from around the world to various locations throughout the site.
Public Art can be enjoyed at any time during the Expo period!
