The best logo has been chosen based on the many proposals and comments gathered from the public. The logo will serve as a face for a new expo in the COVID and post-COVID era, vividly representing the theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” We hope the logo earns the love and affection of people from around the world as the Expo’s symbol. Let’s work together to make 2025 an amazing year!

Screening

Screening and selection flow

  1. Format requirement check

    The secretariat will check whether the basic format requirements described in the application guidelines have been met.

  2. Design screening

    Design experts will conduct the screening from a design perspective.

  3. 1st Logo Selection Committee

    Selection by the Logo Selection Committee

  4. Intellectual property-related survey

    Patent attorneys designated by our association will conduct a prior trademark search and copyright check covering both Japan and other countries.

  5. Comments from the public

    Comments on the final candidate proposals will be gathered from the public in line with screening perspectives.

  6. Final Logo Selection Committee

    On the basis of the gathered comments, the Logo Selection Committee will select the best logo proposal through deliberation.

    On August 25, 2020, the “Press Conference to Announce the Logo Mark” was held at the Imperial Hotel Osaka, and the official logo mark of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan was announced.

  • Let’s make EXPO 2025 together. “Let’s design the logo mark!”

    A publicity event for the Expo called “Let’s make EXPO 2025 together. ‘Let’s Design the Logo Mark!’” in various locations nationwide.
    In the event, participants learn about the roles and history of familiar logos used in their local area, as well as come up with a logo for the Expo.
