The selection committee for the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan character design competition selected the best entry at its final meeting today. The design was selected among 1,898 entries submitted between Monday, November 1 and Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Following the official logo chosen in August 2020, the new character will be used as another symbol of Expo 2025 to be widely used to further publicize and build momentum for the Expo, and will be developed into a character loved and familiar to people around the world.
