2022.10.25 Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, International Planning Meeting Started The First Fly-through Video of the Site Released

The International Planning Meeting (hereinafter referred to as IPM), the first international conference with regard to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to the Expo) began on October 25, 2022. The IPM was held for not only those governments and international organizations that have already officially confirmed their participation but also those that have not yet done so.
The first day, October 25, opened with the opening remarks by HANEDA Koji, Commissioner General of the Exhibition, and Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), followed by sessions to deepen each meeting attendee’s understanding of the Expo theme and its three sub-themes. Experts provided explanations and case studies in order to deepen understanding of the theme and the three sub-themes of the Expo. In the ” EXPO 2025 Masterplan overview ” session, ISHIGE Hiroyuki, Secretary General, Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, explained the basic plan and current preparations for the Expo, and presented the latest design of the Expo site in 3DCG format of fly-through video for the first time. In other sessions, the secretariat of the Association explained the status of each project.
