The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) has announced the concept for events, which outlines the direction of events to be held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”). The events will embody the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” in a variety of ways and add colour to the Expo.

Expo events include official events such as the opening ceremony, events organised by the organiser of the Expo which are organised by the Association to communicate the theme and concept of the Expo, and events organised by related organisations, in which companies, organisations, and local governments take part. The concept for the events organised by the organiser of the Expo has been announced and recruitment has started for sponsorship from companies and organisations.

The numerous attractive events to be held at the Expo site in 2025 will attract more visitors and create a lively atmosphere at the Expo.

This concept embodies the theme of the Expo, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” Based on this concept, the Expo will create an opportunity for those participating in the Expo to take ‘a step towards connecting life to the future’.

Events Organised by the Organiser
Events organised by the organiser of the Expo are those in which the Association takes the lead in planning to communicate the theme and concept of the Expo. Currently, KOHASHI Kenji, the EXPO Events Producer, is taking the lead in planning a wide variety of events. Together with the sponsors, the Association will develop a programme of events with the power to communicate to attract visitors.

SynaeEARTH: Connect with the Earth. Connect with the future.

“SynaeEARTH” is a combination of the words “synaesthesia” and “Earth”. Synaesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon in which different types of sensations are felt in response to a single sensory stimulus. It may be a sensation that everyone originally had in their connection with nature (the Earth), which has continued since ancient times. Events organised by the organiser will try to provide an extended experience of such a sensory connection with the Earth.

Call for Sponsorship of Events Organised by the Organiser of the Expo

The Association is calling for sponsorship from companies and organisations to provide funds for the implementation of events organised by the organiser of the Expo, as well as the materials and technology required for the contents of the events.

▽ Schedule
Applications will be accepted from 14 March 2023. The contents of the events organised by the organiser of the Expo will be announced in due course.
The sponsors will be announced in due course as soon as they have been decided upon after consultation.
