The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition establishes exhibition areas for the participants of the “TEAM EXPO 2025” Programme that aims at putting a participatory Expo into practice within the Future Life Experience Area at the site of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”). Based on the concept of “An Expo That Connects – a place where a participatory Expo is put into practice,” the exhibition areas will present the results of the Co-Creation Challenge and create opportunities for open innovation to co-create the future society through dialogues on the same themes between Co-Creation members and visitors at various locations in the area.
Approximately 3,000 groups will be selected from the Co-Creation Challenge, and the results of their initiatives will be presented during the Expo. Co-Creation Partners will be responsible for providing various types of support such as making presentations at the site and preparing presentations. Details of the call for applications will be announced around August of this year.
■ Application schedule (Tentative)
・ First round of applications: From September to October 2023
・ Second round of applications: From February to March 2024
・ Third round of applications: From August to September 2024
■ Application requirements for the Co-Creation Challenges Framework (Planned)
・ A team that has already registered for the Co-Creation Challenges and is continuing to work toward 2025.
・ Pre-registered Co-Creation Challenges must match the themes set by the Association.
・ Have already had an exhibition or have made a presentation at the “TEAM EXPO 2025 Meeting” or other pre-events.

※ The cost incurred from exhibiting will be used for the operation of the “TEAM EXPO 2025” Programme.
■ About the “TEAM EXPO 2025” Programme
In October 2020, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition started the “TEAM EXPO 2025” Programme, an initiative aimed at creating the ideal future society together, with diverse participants taking the lead. The purpose of this programme is the realization of the theme of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” and the contribution to the achievement of SDGs toward the opening of the Expo.
In March of this year, the total number of registered Co-Creation Challenges reached 1,000, and in April of this year, the total number of registered Co-Creation Partner organizations reached 300.

■Exhibition area
