2023.06.30 Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, Admission Ticket Types and Prices

With the approval of the Japanese government, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) announces that the ticket types and prices for admission to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) have been decided as follows.
In order to attract more people, including children who will lead the next generation, to the Expo, the Association has set up many variations of admission tickets for the Expo, including affordable advance tickets such as opening tickets, first-half period tickets, and super early bird tickets, as well as multiple-entry passes such as summer passes and season passes, group tickets, and more.
Advance tickets are expected to be available by the end of 2023. Details on the release date, purchase method, and other details will be announced on the Association’s official Web site around the autumn of 2023. Toward the opening of the Expo in 2025, various new information on Expo, including visit reservations, venue access, and events, will be posted on the official website of the Association and on the official social media.

Admission ticket types and prices

Many varieties have been set up so that more people can come to the Expo
・Opening and first-half period tickets to ease congestion in the second half of the Expo period
・Summer Pass for multiple admissions for children and families during the summer vacation period
・Season pass that allows you to visit the Expo as many times as you like during the Expo
・Night ticket that makes it easy to visit the Expo after work as the Expo is held in an urban area
・One-day ticket that allows you one admission at any time during the Expo available with super early bird and early bird discount purchases
・Special discount group ticket for school and general groups as well as a special discount ticket for people with disabilities are available

※ Age is an individual’s full age(completed years since birth) as of April 1, 2025. Children 3 years old or younger are free of charge.
※ Sale of limited advance tickets: until April 12, 2025
Sale of super early bird tickets (one-day ticket): until October 6, 2024
Sale of early bird tickets (one-day ticket): from October 7, 2024, to April 12, 2025
※ Admission tickets will be electronic tickets. You can purchase them from your smartphone or computer. For those who have difficulty purchasing tickets via smartphone, tickets can also be purchased through travel agencies and various play guides.
※ Reservations that can be made up to 6 months before visiting, are required for admission. Details will be announced around the Summer of 2024.

What are the attractions of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan?

The World Exposition is an international event held every five years in only one place in the world.
In Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, for 184 days from Sunday, April 13, 2025, more than 150 Official Participants will participate under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” and, exhibitions, events and various exchanges will be held. The Expo site on Yumeshima, Osaka, is surrounded by the sea on all sides. The approximately 155-hectare site will include pavilions for Official Participants, signature pavilions created by the eight thematic project Producers, 13 pavilions for private sectors, Japan Pavilion, Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, Kansai Pavilion, Women’s Pavilion, Future Life Experience, restaurants and sales facilities, and more. Each facility can be visited using one of the world’s largest wooden structures, the “Grand Roof (Ring),” which symbolizes the philosophy of “Unity in Diversity”. Visitors can experience the future society of flying cars, automated translation, and automated electric buses, as well as enjoy a full day of events held at the Water Plaza, the Forest of Tranquility, and other locations throughout the venue. In addition to aiming to achieve sustainability through the preparation and operation of the Expo, the Association is also considering inclusive venue operations that incorporate universal design and other features.

Access to the site (planned)

※As a general rule, please use public transportation such as trains and buses.
・By train: The Osaka Metro Chuo Line will be extended to Yumeshima, allowing visitors to come directly to the site by train.
・By bus: Shuttle buses will run to the site from major stations and airports in Osaka and the Kansai region.
・By privately-owned car: You will use the off-site parking lots in Maishima, Amagasaki, and Sakai, and transfer to a bus from there to the site. (Private cars are not allowed to come directly to the site.)
