The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) hereby announces its decision for a sponsor company for “Expo 2025 Digital Wallet” as follows.
※This is a partial service of the “Cashless Payment System and Digital Local Currency Service”, for which applications were accepted for the Expo Site Operation Participation (1st round).

The “EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet” application service will be provided, by the Association, which plans to use it as a method to effectively build nationwide momentum for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) and raise awareness of participation in the Expo.

Overview of Expo 2025 Digital Wallet
EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet is a wallet service unique to the Expo that aims to help promote a cashless Japan. As a financial service, this service provides “proprietary e-money”, “proprietary points”, and benefits provided by EXPO status earned based on usage (e.g., “proprietary NFTs”). In addition, this is also a service that collaborates with external businesses that contribute to building momentum for the Expo and also collaborates with Expo businesses and pavilions as a business collaboration service utilizing SBT*1 (Soulbound Token) and Web3 wallets*2.
※1 SBT: Non-transferable NFT (Non-Fungible Token), irreplaceable digital data based on blockchain
※2 Web3 wallets: Wallets for storing NFTs issued through SBTs, pavilion linkage and external operator linkage
