2023.08.02 Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, “Future Society Showcase Project Exhibition”, Sponsors Decided for the “Future Life EXPO: Future City” Project

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) hereby announces that the following sponsors for the “Future Life EXPO: Future City” project, part of the “Future Society Showcase Project Exhibition” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) have been decided.
The “Future Society Showcase Project Exhibition” will continue to solicit sponsorships. New sponsors will be announced in a timely manner.

Content of the project

The “Future Life Expo: Future City” project will serve as a stage to highlight the future city of Society 5.0, a human-centered society that balances economic advancement with the resolution of social problems through a system that highly integrates cyberspace and physical space.
The exhibition will provide an opportunity for visitors to ask a variety of questions and think together about the vision of the future city through an exhibition in which the cyber and physical fields are mutually linked and fused. It will also be an opportunity to demonstrate the digital innovations and new values that will lead to the future city, born from the cross-fertilization of various knowledge and ideas that transcend the boundaries of companies, organizations, and industries.

The exhibition will consist of a “Theme Exhibition,” a “Common Exhibition,” and an “Individual Company Exhibition.” Each thematic area will showcase various innovations that support the “Future City,” allowing visitors to experience the “Future City” together with the cyber field experience.

● Social evolution (change): An easy-to-understand introduction of the concept of “Society 5.0”

【Common Exhibition】(All sponsors)

The exhibition will offer a virtual experience of urban life beyond 2030, which is expected to be realized in “Society 5.0”.
●Society and life: This section describes the world and scenes of “Society 5.0 and Future City” from the perspective of ordinary people.
●Society and industry: This section describes the challenges in each area of Society 5.0: “Transportation and Mobility”, “Environment and Energy”, “Manufacturing and Urban Development” and “Food and Agriculture”, and the scenes in which they have been solved.

【Individual exhibition】

Specific technologies and systems that support future cities beyond 2030 that realize Society 5.0 will be exhibited by each sponsor in five areas, and in conjunction with the Common Exhibition, visitors will be able to more strongly experience dream cities of the future.

■About the Future Society Showcase Projects
This project is a general term referring to a group of projects that provide experiences to a wide range of participants and visitors from Japan and abroad by utilizing technologies and services that support the theme of the Expo, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” for the development, operation, exhibition, and events of the Expo site which will be a “People’s Living Lab”, in the form of “demonstration” that gives a sense of the future after 2025 and “implementation” that is suitable for the Expo.
