The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) announces that two nicknames for ” Original Money” and ” Original Points” have been selected through a public contest, for use in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) “Expo 2025 Digital Wallet” services.
As for the review and selection of the nicknames, among the 1,432 entries posted during the application period from July 4 to July 28, 2023, those that satisfied format requirements went on to the first-round screening. For the entries that successfully passed the first screening, after checking each entry’s meaning in both Japanese and foreign languages as well as whether or not they were registered as trademarks in Japan or overseas, they then proceeded to the final selection by the Selection Committee, where the best nickname was decided.
The nickname for the NFT* service and the official logo design for the EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet have been both finalized and announced together.
The nickname and the official logo will be combined to help build momentum for the Expo by spreading each of the services throughout Japan and familiarizing people with them even before the opening of the Expo.

As one of the services of the “EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet”, a service to “collect” NFTs unique to the Expo will be developed. NFT is the one and only digital data created based on blockchain and is one of the services in the Web3 domain.
The Association announces that in keeping with the image of the nicknames “MYAKU-PE!” and “MYAKU-PO!”, it has decided on “MYAKU-N!” as the nickname of the NFT service. This nickname is a combination of “MYAKU” from MYAKU-MYAKU, the official character of the Expo, and “N” from NFT.
