The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) announces that the “EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet” Service at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) will start on November 1, 2023.
Through this project, the Association aims to make the Expo site a testing ground for a cashless society and to ensure smooth and comfortable site operations. In addition to that, by creating a variety of ways for users of the “EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet” to enjoy the Expo, the Association hopes to create excitement for the Expo on various occasions before its opening and to get more people interested in participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Three services: MYAKU-PE! (electronic money), MYAKU-PO! (points), and MYAKU-N! (Expo 2025 Digital Wallet NFT site Expo‘s unique NFT) are scheduled to launch in May 2024. Prior to the launch of the service, downloads of the “EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet” application will become available beginning today, October 23, on the App Store and Google Store.
The “EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet” is a service that anyone can participate in through their smartphones. This service will be a wallet application based on a dual method utilizing both server-managed Web21 and blockchain2 Web33 domain management methods.
As programs that users can participate in before the opening of the Expo, there are two types of services: the financial collaboration services of MYAKU-PE! (electronic money), MYAKU-PO! (points), and MYAKU-N! (Expo 2025 Digital Wallet NFT site Expo‘s unique NFT), as well as business collaboration services that utilize blockchain to collaborate with each pavilion and the external businesses that contribute to building momentum for the Expo. The “MYAKU-MYAKU Rewards Program” will be developed to provide benefits to users based on their usage of digital wallets such as MYAKU-PE! and MYAKU-PO!
In the business collaboration services that will begin on November 1, 2023, the Association will collaborate with various companies even before the opening of the Expo to provide momentum-building services that will “connect” Expo visitors with the Expo through digital wallets.
Soul Bound Tokens (SBT)4 created using blockchain technology can be used to prove qualifications and other information as non-transferable and non-falsifiable information. In conjunction with this technology, this application can be used outside of the Expo site to provide digital proof of participation in stamp-collecting events and other programs using SBTs related to the Expo, in addition to incentives that can be received for having proof of participation SBTs.

Specific services and other details will be announced as soon as they are finalized. Going forward, the network of collaborating companies and organizations will gradually be expanded.

The Welcome Campaign will begin on October 23, 2023, when the EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet application becomes available for download.
Sponsored by EVERING Co., Ltd., as the first part of the campaign, 40,000 EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet special edition EVERINGs will be given away through a lottery as welcome rings to those who have downloaded the application. The lottery application website will be open in late November 2023.
