2023.12.20 Dedicated Website for “Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Volunteers” Open! Volunteer Recruitment Begins in Mid-January 2024!

In order to realize Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan’s theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” the Expo will offer programs that a variety of people can participate in.
As part of these initiatives, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, Osaka Prefecture, and the City of Osaka will begin recruiting volunteers in mid-January 2024. The volunteers will provide information about the Expo at major train stations, airports, and other locations in the city. They will also provide visitor support at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, for people from Japan and abroad, as well as visitors to the Expo site and the Osaka-Kansai region.
Prior to the recruitment, a dedicated volunteer website was launched on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
Details of the volunteer recruitment and other information will be posted on the same page in mid-January 2024.

Volunteer activity details

※ The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, Osaka Prefecture and the City of Osaka will collaborate in the administrative operation of the volunteer activities.

・Guiding and welcoming visitors, and supporting beautification activities
Volunteers welcome and navigate Expo visitors.
They assist with welcoming visitors at the gate as well as guiding and directing them around the Expo site.

・Operational support for information centers, rest areas, etc.
Volunteers support the smooth operation of information centers, rest areas, first-aid stations, etc.

・Support for various operations while using foreign languages
Volunteers hospitably welcome visitors coming to the Expo from all over the world in foreign languages.

・Information Guide to the Expo in the city
Volunteers provide information on popular pavilions and limited-time events at the Expo.

・Transportation information at major stations, airports, etc.
Volunteers provide information on how to get to the Expo site by train, bus, etc.

・Providing tourist information in the city
Volunteers provide information on attractive spots in the Osaka and Kansai region for people visiting from afar and also introduce their own recommended sightseeing spots, gourmet foods, etc.

・Guiding and supporting visitors at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion
Volunteers provide support in guiding and assisting visitors to the pavilion.
