As there will be congestion between the Expo related traffic and general traffic for commuting and logistics during the period of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as the Expo) which will be held in 2025, appropriate measures must be taken.
In order to facilitate smooth traffic, “the Traffic Facilitation Promotion Conference for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan” has been established since December 2022 to discuss and coordinate efforts to encourage residents and businesses to change their transportation behavior, such as telecommuting, staggering work schedules, and detouring around congested areas, and also to encourage widespread cooperation to achieve a balance between smooth transportation for Expo visitors and urban activities. Since then, specific initiatives have been discussed.
The aim is to realize smooth traffic by encouraging companies and others to cooperate with this initiative based on the results of these reviews.
