2024.03.05 MYAKU-MYAKU To Appear at the “9th Japan Vietnam Festival in Ho Chi Minh City” To Promote Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan! -MYAKU-MYAKU’s First Trip to Southeast Asia!-

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition will promote and raise interest for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) abroad in cooperation with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Hanoi Office at the “9th Japan Vietnam Festival in Ho Chi Minh City” (venue: Ho Chi Minh City, dates: March 9-10, 2024), one of the largest Japan-Vietnam exchange events in Vietnam.
There will be a PR session for the Expo on the main stage with MYAKU-MYAKU, the official character of the Expo, and there will also be greetings from MYAKU-MYAKU at the JNTO booth. It will be MYAKU-MYAKU’s first time travelling to Southeast Asia to promote the Expo. In the Bon Odori (Bon Festival Dance) session, the main event of the “9th Japan Vietnam Festival”, there will be a performance of the Bon Odori to the official song of the Expo, “Kono Hoshi no Tsuzuki wo”.

  4. Overview
    The Japan Vietnam Festival is one of the largest Japan-Vietnam exchange events in Vietnam, organized by an executive committee consisting of industry, academia, and government officials from both countries. It is also a joint project of the public and private sectors in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies. The 8th Japan Vietnam Festival held previously in 2023 was the first real participation from Japan in four years as the opening event for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam, and a record number of 485,000 visitors attended.
    The 9th Japan Vietnam Festival will be held under the concepts of “bilateral cooperation,” “coexistence and co-prosperity,” and “creation of the future” between Japan and Vietnam, and will include “culture, art, and performing arts,” “human resources and sports exchange,” “manufacturing,” and “tourism” through mutual understanding of tradition and culture, introduction and exchange of tourism, products, technology, etc. The festival is planning to provide content that will provide opportunities for interaction between Japan and Vietnam and build bridges between the two countries.
