The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will hold the Global Talk Event – “Let’s think about the SDGs” on Saturday 13, 2024 in Osaka, one year before the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”). The event will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channel and Japanese-English simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
The Expo aims to contribute achieving the goals of the SDGs under the theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”. In this event, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) climate campaign hero; Frankie the Dino and representative, Consul Generals and representatives of official participants countries, and students are invited to discuss the SDGs and latest development of pavilions and Frankie will give a speech to accelerate addressing the climate change. There will also be an open discussion where students and other participants will discuss SDG initiatives. In addition, for the first time, Frankie, visiting Japan for the first time, will collaborate with MYAKU-MYAKU, the official character of the Expo.
Many people will be invited to participate in the event and contribute to achieve SDGs, accelerate addressing climate change and coincide with the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Expo to further build momentum.
*Pre-registration is required to attend the event.
*Simultaneous Japanese-English interpretation will be provided at the event.
*The event will also be live streaming via official YouTube channel (Japanese) and Zoom (English).
*There will be media coverage of the event.
