● What is Expo Fan Family?
Expo Fan Family consists of Mum Hiroko, Dad Mansaku, son Haruo, niece Kikko, nephew Morio, and their pet cat Dream. Led by mum, who loves the Expo, they are a family who are all very interested in the Expo. Mum has been exploring Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and talking about her love of the Expo day and night, with the goal of bringing her niece and nephew, who live in Aich, to enjoy the Expo to the fullest.

● Mum Hiroko
She is a pure Osakan. She loves a good deal! She also likes MYAKU-MYAKU. Having experienced the 1970 Osaka Expo as a child, she has high hopes for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. She says “Shirankedo (I don’t know though)” a lot.
● Dad Mansaku
He was born in Tottori Prefecture and has lived in Osaka for more than 30 years. He is so interested in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan that he applied to be a volunteer. In fact, he speaks a little French.
● Son Haruo
He has lived in Tokyo for more than 10 years since his college days. His workplace seems to be involved with the Expo, and he knows a lot about it. When he is in business mode, he tends to speak in standard Japanese, but he also sometimes slips into Osaka dialect.
● Kikko
She is Mum’s niece and an elementary school student. She is learning about the SDGs at school. She lives in Aichi Prefecture.
● Morio
He is Mum’s nephew and a junior high school student. He wants to go to the Expo as often as he can, such as during summer vacation. He lives in Aichi Prefecture.
● Family cat Dream
She was named “Dream” by Mum because the pattern on her face resembles Yumeshima Island, the site of the Expo. (Yume means “dream”)
