The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce that it a food-related company for the “Futuristic Commercial Facility” has been decided.
The “Futuristic Commercial Facilities” are facilities that will enable visitors to experience new technologies and cultures firsthand as part of the “Future Society Showcase.”

SUSHIRO will open the “SUSHIRO Futuristic Expo Store (tentative name)” at the Expo site, where visitors can experience the appeal of Japanese food culture and “future sushi restaurants”. Eating and drinking at the venue’s food and beverage facilities is an important experience that visitors look forward to. At this facility, sustainable efforts will be made to reduce food loss and consider resource recycling to help achieve the SDGs and realise the theme of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” and the concept of a “People’s Living Lab: A laboratory for a future society”.

▽ Future Society Showcase Project
The Future Society Showcase Project is a general term referring to a group of projects that provides experiences to a wide range of participants and visitors from Japan and abroad by utilising technologies and services that support the theme of the Expo, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” for the development, operation, exhibition, and events of the Expo site, in the form of demonstrations that give a sense of the future beyond 2025, and implementation that is suitable for the Expo.
