Physical Twin Symphony (formerly “The Human Orchestra”)
EXPO SAUNA ‘TAIYO’s TSUBOMI’
Ahead of the Super Early Bird Special Lottery, which starts on Wednesday 25 September, and the start of Visit Date and Time Reservations on Sunday 13 October, The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) held a presentation on Tuesday 24 September. During the presentation Events Producer KOHASHI Kenji, introduced “Physical Twin Symphony” (formerly “The Human Orchestra”) and “EXPO SAUNA ”TAIYO’s TSUBOMI’’, two of the events organised by the Association.

The press conference began with an address from JIMI Hanako, Minister for the World Expo 2025. This was followed by an explanation of the Super Early Bird Special Lottery, which started the following day, by TAKASHINA Jun, Deputy Secretary General of the Association.
Next, the Expo Events Producer KOHASHI Kenji gave an overview of “Physical Twin Symphony”, which will take place over eight consecutive days at EXPO Hall “Shining Hat”, and “EXPO SAUNA ‘TAIYO’s TSUBOMI’”, which will run daily during the Expo. A concept video of “Physical Twin Symphony” was also presented.
“EXPO 2025 LDH DAY SPECIAL ‘Jr. EXILE LIVE’”, which will be held on 29 April 2025 at the EXPO Arena “Matsuri”, was also announced. Special Supporters THE RAMPAGE, FANTASTICS, BALLISTIK BOYZ and PSYCHIC FEVER, who will perform at this event, gave video messages, making it a press conference that heightened expectations for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Physical Twin Symphony
”Physical Twin Symphony”
“Physical Twin Symphony” is the opening programme of the Expo, and will be a world-first in which the audience and performers can experience the future of live performance as no one has ever seen it before. The term “Physical Twin Symphony” refers to technology that frees people from the constraints of body, brain, space, and time allowing them to create ‘another body that is not their own’ in the real world, where they can maximise their own abilities and share the diverse skills and experiences of a wide range of people.
“Physical Twin Symphony” is an experimental live entertainment project in which people and technology will co-create a future where everyone can be a creator and technology enables people to share their diverse skills and experiences, no matter what environment they are in.

EXPO SAUNA “TAIYO’s TSUBOMI”
”EXPO SAUNA ‘TAIYO’s TSUBOMI’”
“EXPO SAUNA ‘TAIYO’s TSUBOMI’” will be located on the west side of the venue overlooking Osaka Bay, where you can experience the theme of the Expo, ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’, in a liberating seaside setting.
It is characterised by a beautiful, vibrant shape of petal-like air membrane cushions that gather to form a single bud and extend towards the sun. The sun’s energy pours down onto the ‘sun bud’, carrying with it air from the sea, plants, and wind. The space created by the delicate and strong membrane is filled with the energy of nature, which is intended to harmonise our body and soul and bring us back to our origins as human beings.
This sauna provides a completely new ‘co-creation’ space that embodies a ‘soft and warm’ future society, where the space covered with ETFE film* membrane material that transmits natural light is beautifully illuminated by LEDs and harmonises with the nature of Osaka Bay, which changes with the seasons and time.
*ETFE film: high-performance fluoropolymer rolled into film form. It is attracting attention as a material that can replace glass for new architectural expression.
