2024.10.18 Data of Accidents and Occupational Injuries During Expo Site Construction Work

The following table provides information on the number of accidents and occupational injuries*1 sustained during venue construction work that resulted in four or more days off from work, reported to the Association in September 2024.

Accidents resulting in 4 or more days off from workCrashes and fallsDuring the installation of a handrail on a staircase, the handrail caught on a steel beam. During the removal work, the handrail fell on the victim, causing him to lose his balance and fall. *2
Entanglement and entrapmentThe logistics worker noticed a guide rope trapped between the steel beams and attempted to manually adjust it without stopping the crane lift. This led to his finger being caught.
