On 17 October 2024, The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”), took delivery of Theme Producer ISHIGURO Hiroshi’s signature pavilion ”Future of Life” from HASEKO Corporation, the in-kind sponsor for the design cooperation and construction. This pavilion is the first of eight signature pavilions by eight theme producers.

▽Signature Pavilion “Future of Life”
The building is designed to utilise a waterscape focusing on water, which is a symbol of ‘life’, the theme of the Expo, and which links inorganic and organic matter. The exterior material is a membrane, and water flows in a cascade from the rooftop down the exterior walls, then circulates through the ‘water membrane’ façade design.
The basic design and final design was created by Ishimoto Architectural & Engineering Firm, Inc. with design assistance from HASEKO Corporation Osaka Engineering Division, and construction by HASEKO Corporation and FUJIKENSETSU Co., Ltd.. And ENDO Jiro supervised the design of this pavilion as director of architecture and exhibition space.

Ishimoto Architectural & Engineering Firm, Inc. was established in 1927. The company designs architecture for a wide range of uses, including government buildings, office buildings, educational facilities, hospitals, welfare facilities and museums. It is active overseas in the USA, Europe, and Asia, including Korea and China. It designed the Japanese Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015.
◇ FUJIKENSETSU Co., Ltd. (Tokyo)
FUJIKENSETSU Co., Ltd. ispart of the HASEKO Corporation group, established in 1946. It is a general construction company involved in a wide range of non-residential sector construction, including apartment buildings and houses, as well as office buildings, hotels, commercial, production, and cultural facilities.
◇ ENDO Jiro, Representative of SOIHOUSE Inc.
ENDO Jiro is an architect, director, lighting designer, exhibition designer, festival designer, and representative of SOIHOUSE Inc. With architecture as his starting point, he has been based in Tokyo since 2016 after three years in the Netherlands, one year in Sri Lanka and 13 years in Thailand, while crossing genres such as art, music, fashion, and university education.
