The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition and Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) will hold “Expo Classroom in Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences” for the students, teachers, and staff of the university and members of the general public on Thursday, 28 November, 2024 at Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences.

At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”), more than 160 countries, regions, and international organisations, as well as companies, NGOs/NPOs, civil society organisations, and others will gather from around the world. There, they will bring together initiatives for a “future society for our lives” to help achieve the SDGs and envision the future beyond them.
The Expo Classroom is an event where people can learn from the diverse wisdom gathered at the Expo from around the world to solve such global issues.
At this event, speakers will give an overview of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion Nest for Reborn and specific exhibition content. The contents of the exhibition will enable audiences to learn about the future society from the perspectives of “life” and “health”.

５．Programme:
　・ Expo Classroom “Osaka Healthcare Pavilion
⑴　Overview of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion
At the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, where industry, academia, government and the private sector are exhibiting in unison, visitors can experience exhibits from the perspective of ‘life’ and ‘health’ under the theme of ‘REBORN’, where children and adults can enjoy themselves and feel the possibilities of the future of Osaka.
Visitors can measure their health data with the Body Measuring Pod and meet their Future Myself Avatar generated from the data, and experience various healthcare services related to nutrition, body, and mind, as well as a “Future City” envisioned around the year 2050. In addition, exhibits such as the self-moving cardiac muscle sheet made from iPS cells and the “Living Heart Model” that symbolically introduces the cardiac muscle sheet will be on display.

⑵　Osaka Healthcare Pavilion – The bath of the future-“A Human Washing Machine in the that automatically washes both
body and mind”

The “Future Human Washing Machine” can keep the body clean just by soaking and bathing in it, and provide a space where you can spend time more comfortably and healthy by monitoring your heartbeat, etc.
Also on display is the “Space Shower’”, which allows you to take care of your skin with an eye on the quality of life in space. A small mist stream is blown up and circulated from the lower part of the unit, while the visitor’s image is inverted and projected as if they were inside a capsule.

⑶　Osaka Healthcare Pavilion “Regenerative Medicine in the future’” and “Eye Care in the future”

We will contribute to the wellbeing of people all over the world and bring two new visions of the future to you at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan with the aim of realising a sustainable society in which people can live healthy and happy lives.
[Regenerative medicine in the future]: We will exhibit a future in which regenerative medicine has permeated everyday life, and demonstrate its potential.
[Eye Care in the future]: We will exhibit near-future eyecare solutions that allow you to learn information about your own eyes.

▽About Expo Classroom
An “Expo” is an event that brings together many people and things from all over the world. It is a place where people gather wisdom from all corners of the globe to tackle various global issues. The Expo Classroom is an initiative to share the wisdom of diverse participants who gather for the Expo with many people in the form of seminars, and to learn and think together about a future society for our lives. By learning about new initiatives, technologies, services, and systems that will take root in the future society, which can only be experienced at the Expo, we will convey a common understanding of the appeal of the Expo and create opportunities for the next generation of talented leaders of the future society to achieve great things.
