We are pleased to announce that “10,000 Freude: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 Performed by a Choir of 10,000 at EXPO 2025” will be held at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).

Location: Water Plaza and the Grand Ring (south side)
Performance : Beethoven Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 ‘With Chorus’, 4th movement

Description: As the opening event of the Expo, 10,000 people at the Expo venue and singers from all over the world will contribute their voices to create the one and only Beethoven’s Ninth, which will connect everyone’s hearts and voices across time and space. . Under the theme of ‘Equality and Peace’, each and every one of us will play a leading role, and the chorus of the ‘Ode to Joy’ will echo around the world in praise of each other’s lives.
