The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is pleased to announce that Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru was appointed Honorary Chairperson of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) on 17 January, 2025. Below is a statement by TOKURA Masakazu, Chairperson of the Association, on the appointment of Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru as Honorary Chairperson of the Expo.
Statement by TOKURA Masakazu, Chairperson of the Association, on “The Appointment of Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru as Honorary Chairperson”:
We requested that Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru be appointed Honorary Chairperson of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, and as of today, 17 January, he has accepted the position. This is a great encouragement to all of us involved in the Expo.
With his appointment as Honorary Chairperson, we renew our commitment to preparing for the Expo and strive to meet the expectations of our many visitors in the three months remaining until the opening.
