2025.04.14 New Sponsor Announced for Future Society Showcase Project Public Art (Art Expo) at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition is pleased to announce a new sponsor for Public Art (Art Expo) one of the Future Society Showcase Projects at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).

Title: Forest of Civilizations

“Forest of Civilizations is an ancient forestinstallation featuring a forest made out of world unique 6,500-year-old subfossil oak trees, where each tree will be dedicated to one participating nation of the Expo 2025. With over 130 pieces of these rare trees present, it will be the largest exhibition of its kind in history.
These extraordinary trees, preserved for millennia beneath the surface, stand as living witnesses to the birth of human civilizations and now form an interconnected monument celebrating global unity and resilience.”

▽ About the Future Society Showcase Project:
The Future Society Showcase Project is a general term referring to a group of projects that provide experiences to a wide range of participants and visitors from Japan and abroad by utilising technologies and services that support the theme of the Expo, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” for the development, operation, exhibition, and events of the Expo site, in the form of “demonstrations” that give a sense of the future beyond 2025, and “implementation” that is suitable for the Expo.
