Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai Japan will close on Monday, 13 October 2025. Thanks to the overwhelming number of visitors every day, all reservation slots for visit date and times are nearly fully booked until the closing day.
As a result, ticket sales through the official ticket website will end on Tuesday, 30 September. Same-day ticket sales in front of the entrance gates will end on Friday, 26 September. Please note that it will no longer be possible to purchase tickets after these dates.
In addition, those who have already purchased tickets but are unable to reserve a visit date and time, we will be able to exchange their unreserved ticket for a same-day ticket (valid for entry after 12:00) at the Ticket Exchange Office in front of the East Gate from Saturday, 27 September until Sunday, 12 October.
Please note that only a few hundred same-day tickets will be available per day, and tickets will only be exchanged while supplies last. Refunds for unused tickets will not be available.

End of Official Ticket Site Sales and Same-day Ticket Sales at Gates
Ticket sales through the official ticket site (EXPO 2025 Digital Ticket Site) will end at 23:59 on Tuesday, 30 September*.
In addition, sales of same-day tickets at the ticket exchange offices in front of the East and West Gates will end on Friday, 26 September. It will not be possible to purchase same-day tickets at the gates from Saturday, 27 September onwards.
*If you applied to purchase tickets via convenience store payment on the official ticket site before 23:59 on Tuesday, 30 September, please remember to make your payment by the deadline.
Those who have already purchased tickets will still be able to use the official ticket site to reserve a visit date and time, enter pavilions/event lotteries, reserve available slots three days before, and carry out on-site registration.
Unused Tickets Can be Exchanged for Same-day Tickets at the Ticket Exchange Office in Front of the East Gate.
From Saturday, 27 September to Sunday, 12 October, unused tickets can be exchanged for a same-day ticket at the ticket exchange office in front of the East Gate. Available options include a One-Day Ticket, Weekday Ticket, or Special Discount Ticket valid for same-day entry after 12:00, or for a Night Ticket valid for same-day entry after 16:00.
To prevent unauthorised resale, only one unused ticket will be exchanged per visitor. Please make sure all members of your party are present with their unused ticket IDs when you visit the ticket exchange office in front of the East Gate.
Please note that it may take time to confirm the validity of ticket IDs, so waiting times may be long.
The number of same-day tickets available for exchange is extremely limited, with only a few hundred available each day. These tickets are expected to run out quickly, so please be aware that it is not guaranteed that you will be able to exchange your ticket, even if you come to the ticket exchange office.
Please note that no refunds will be issued for unused tickets even if you were unable to exchange them for a same-day ticket.
– Tickets Eligible for Exchange:
Unused One-Day Tickets, Weekday Tickets, Special Discount Tickets, and Night Tickets
・Please bring the unused ticket ID (10 alphanumeric characters). If the ticket ID cannot be verified, the ticket cannot be exchanged.
・Unused Weekday Tickets can only be exchanged for same-day Weekday Tickets.
・Unused Night Tickets can only be exchanged for same-day Night Tickets, valid for entry after 16:00.
・Children 3 years old and under can enter without a ticket, so unused free tickets for children 3 years and under cannot be exchanged.
・Opening Tickets, First-Half Tickets, and Reservable Ticket Vouchers cannot be exchanged because their validity period has expired.

Exchange for same-day tickets valid for entry after 12:00 will start at 11:00. Exchange for same-day tickets valid for entry after 16:00 will start at 15:45. The start times may change depending on the length of the queue.
*Please note that you will not be able to exchange unused tickets for same-day tickets on Monday, 13 October, the closing day.
– Notes:
・There is very limited number of same-day tickets available (a few hundred per day). Therefore, even if you visit the Ticket Exchange Office, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to exchange your unused ticket. Refunds will not be issued for unused tickets.
・To confirm your ticket ID, you will be asked to display the “My Tickets” screen. It may take some time to access the ticket site in front of the gate, so please have a screenshot or printout ready in advance.
・You will not be able to enter with a ticket ID that has been illegally resold. Please be sure that your unused ticket was purchased through official sales channels.
・Ticket IDs exchanged for same-day tickets will be invalid. Please note that even if you have reservations for a visit date and time, pavilions, events, etc., all of these will become invalid.
