Makun: The Mantle of Chile, We Care about the Future Society

Chile is located along the western coast of the southern cone of South America, between the Andes mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Its shape is unique: it is one of the longest countries in the world, spanning a length of about 4,300 km, while also being one of the narrowest, with an average width of only 180 km.

In the pavilion, visitors will experience an immersive tour of Chile, getting to know the country through its people; the diversity of its landscapes, culture and geography; and initiatives in the areas of sustainability, culture, energy transition, astronomy, which position Chile as an innovative country that is responsible for constant improvement for the societies of the present and future.

This journey will revolve around “Makün: The Mantle of Chile”, a 242 square meter mantle woven by 200 Mapuche women, which is positioned in a sustainable laminated wood structure, manufactured with cutting edge technology. The experience combines innovation and tradition in a unique space intended bring the best of Chile to Expo 2025 visitors.

The pavilion has an immersive experience, with an audiovisual experience that covers three of the four walls of the pavilion, measuring 40 meters long in total.

From May, enjoy Chilean alcoholic drinks like wine, pisco, gin, vodka, beer and others with our permanent showcase and tasting of wines, pisco, and other alcohols.
