Strength from the Sea Wisdom Facing the Climate

Located in the southwest Pacific Ocean, Fiji is comprised of roughly 330 large and small islands,
including volcanoes and coral reefs.
In addition to the natural environment, Fiji also has magnificent colonial-era buildings such as the Levuka
Historical Port Town, a World Cultural Heritage Site.
The pavilion covers the country’s climate change initiatives including strategies and technologies, case
studies showcasing its ability to address and come back from rising sea levels and weather anomalies,
and the importance of building a sustainable future.
The pavilion also covers Fiji’s unique culture, traditions, and crafts combining elements of Polynesian,
Melanesian, and Indian cultures, and its cultural diversity that exhibits respect for intercultural
understanding, deference, and solidarity.
