From the Golden Past to a Promising Future Mali’s Story

Located to the south of the Sahara Desert in western Africa, roughly 60% of Mali is desert and the Niger
River runs through the country.
Due to its history as a central place for trade in the Sahara Desert, many nations have risen and fallen in
Mali, and the Mali Empire of the 14th century was known as the Golden Empire.
Even today, gold remains the country’s largest export.
The pavilion covers investment projects focused on enriching its citizens’ lifestyles in the future, in
addition to showcasing Mali’s beauty from various angles including its geography, artistic works, and
agricultural produce.
