Desert, Camels, and Moments of Fragrant Coffee
Located in western Africa, Mauritania is roughly triple the size of Japan and 90% is covered by the Saharan
Desert.
The country is almost entirely arid, with the exception of the Senegal River basin in the south and a few
oases in the desert.
The medieval caravan cities located in the Sahara Desert are also registered World Heritage Sites.
The pavilion includes exhibits on things like camels as well as coffees available for sampling.
