A Young Nation Telling a Story of Nature and Riches
Timor-Leste is located in the southeast of Indonesia and is roughly the size of Iwate Prefecture in area.
East Timor is a young country that achieved independence in 2002, after periods of Indonesian rule and
as a Portuguese colony before that.
The country’s main industries are oil and natural gas production as well as coffee beans and tourism.
East Timor’s topography is mountainous, with some mountains exceeding 2,986 metres in altitude.
The pavilion includes videos and photo panels on sightseeing spots, agriculture, and natural resources,
and there is a counter where East Timorese coffee can be tried.
It has a refreshing acidity with a clean, delicate flavour, but also a rich bitterness and sweetness.
