Reports
【Reflection】
The high school students presented their proposals for peace
and human rights protection to both Japan and the
international community. The reports from officers working at
international organizations such as the United Nations to
promote peace and human rights protection inspired them.
Additionally, the fact that the groups received questions and
suggestions from international organization officers regarding
their presentations is expected to further stimulate
students' enthusiasm for exploratory learning on topics.
Through live streaming and media coverage, the importance of
peace education was also communicated to society at large.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
We have received many compliments from online viewers
regarding the high school students' proposals. The
proposals contain many practical ideas that encourage action,
and we believe that we adults must take action to realize each
of these proposals in the future.
Additionally, for high school students who aspire to pursue
careers overseas, such as the international organization
officers who presented activity reports in the morning, we
will encourage the use of Rotary's scholarship programs.
Rotary scholarships are provided to young people aiming for
future careers in seven priority areas that align with the
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
