Held at the Bulgaria Pavilion, the EDUTOPIARISING event highlights the vital role of play in fostering resilient, future-ready minds. It focuses on innovative approaches using Artificial Intelligence, gamification, and immersive technologies such as augmented and virtual reality to enhance learning outcomes. Leading companies—including Examtic, Corporate Business Technologies, Vizipedia, Interlecta, Roni Games, and TRI Soft—will showcase solutions in digital assessment, interactive content, STEM education, and sensor-based learning environments. The event also aims to promote collaboration among edtech platforms, NGOs, educational institutions, and investors to expand the global reach of these transformative educational tools and tackle challenges in current education systems.

At the “EDUTOPIA RISING: THE ROLE OF PLAY IN BUILDING RESILIENT, FUTURE READY MINDS - Learning and Playing OSAKA” event held on July 22, 2025, alongside six innovative Bulgarian EdTech companies , professors from the Medical University of Pleven and the University of Library Science and Information Technology also joined to present Bulgaria’s higher education efforts.

Company highlights included:
Examtic: AI-powered assessment tools for teachers.
CBT: AR-enhanced textbooks via the “Klett AR” app.
Roni Games: Game development blending fun and learning, seeking partners/investment.
Vizipedia: Game creation using AI to nurture creativity and critical thinking.
Interlecta: The “Tinusaur” STEM kit and multilingual tech solutions.
TRI Soft: “FluurMat,” a sensor-based AI interactive floor for education and therapy.

The Medical University of Pleven presented its advancements in clinical simulation and internationalized digital medical education. The University of Library Science and Information Technology shared its approach to teaching information literacy, AI, and data science within academic curricula. Their participation enriched the event by bridging educational practice with research and innovation.


【Post EXPO Initiatives】
In the coming years, companies and universities plan to strengthen their ties with educational and research institutions in Japan and across Asia. This will involve launching pilot projects, undertaking joint research, and expanding student exchange programmes. By demonstrating how these technologies are applied in classrooms, their effectiveness can be tested and further improvements developed.

Efforts are also under way to adapt educational tools and content for local needs and multiple languages, including Japanese. This will help create learning environments that transcend linguistic and cultural barriers, enhancing both the quality and accessibility of education.

In addition, Bulgaria’s education and technology firms will share their expertise to open up new opportunities for international collaboration and investment. Stronger partnerships with universities will foster talent development and cultural exchange. Through these initiatives, the project seeks to advance a next-generation education model built on “Learning × Play × Technology”, leaving a lasting legacy inspired by Expo 2025.
