Reports
【Reflection】
Visitors expressed interest and enjoyed the workshop
activities involving educational media and thinking
skills-enhancing games, as well as the opportunity to exchange
ideas about STEM learning in Thailand and from visitors'
countries.
The workshop attracted a predominantly Japanese audience, with
approximately 90% of participants being Japanese visitors.
Among the various activities offered, the Periscope camera
construction workshop emerged as the most popular attraction,
particularly for families. Children demonstrated remarkable
enthusiasm during the hands-on building process, while adult
participants expressed that the activity transported them back
to their childhood, evoking nostalgic feelings and rekindling
their sense of wonder. This intergenerational appeal created
memorable experiences that left lasting impressions on
families.
The mathematical learning materials and computational thinking
skill card games received highly positive feedback from
visitors, who recognized their educational value in developing
cognitive abilities in children. Parents particularly
appreciated how these resources could enhance their
children's critical thinking and problem-solving skills
in an engaging, game-based format. The interactive nature of
these materials proved effective in making abstract
mathematical concepts more accessible and enjoyable for young
learners.
Professional educators and teachers attending the exhibition
provided valuable perspectives on the educational innovations
presented. These practitioners expressed admiration for
Thailand's advancement in educational technology and were
particularly impressed by Thailand's basic education
curriculum initiatives that promote technological literacy and
STEM competencies among students.
The exhibition successfully showcased Thailand's
commitment to educational innovation and technological
integration. Visitors gained insights into how Thai
educational institutions are adapting to global technological
trends while maintaining focus on fundamental learning
principles. The overwhelmingly positive response validates the
effectiveness of hands-on, experiential learning approaches in
STEM education.
This experience reinforces the importance of creating
educational programs that appeal to diverse age groups and
cultural backgrounds. The universal enthusiasm for hands-on
activities demonstrates that people share fundamental desires
to explore, create, and learn through direct experience. The
positive feedback provides valuable validation of IPST's
educational approach and shows the potential for Thai STEM
education materials to resonate with international audiences.
【Post EXPO Initiatives】
Building on the positive reception from expo participants,
IPST will leverage these insights to advance key educational
initiatives. The institute remains committed to developing
curriculum and promoting AI learning in basic education, while
dedicating itself to STEM curricula and educational media
research to keep pace with global changes. IPST also supports
teacher training and nurtures gifted and talented individuals
in STEM to elevate national education as a mechanism for
driving social and economic development.
The AI curricular development initiative will continue
progressing systematically, with plans for widespread
implementation following successful completion of the
foundational framework. The program will be structured across
three educational levels: primary, lower secondary, and upper
secondary education, ensuring age-appropriate content and
progressive skill development. This approach prepares Thai
students for the digital future, developing essential
computational thinking and AI literacy skills from an early
age. Teacher training programs will be implemented to
introduce educators to the new curriculum and drive effective
implementation.
Interactive media development represents another key expansion
area, with plans to broaden subject content and incorporate
multilingual capabilities. IPST will develop interactive
learning materials in multiple languages, making them
accessible to diverse international audiences. This approach
will expand the reach of Thai educational innovations,
positioning IPST as a regional leader in educational
technology.
The enthusiastic response from visitors, particularly to
hands-on teaching materials and interactive workshops, has
highlighted significant opportunities for international
expansion. This feedback validates the universal appeal of
experiential learning approaches and opens doors for
cross-cultural educational collaboration. Plans are underway
to develop comprehensive packages of hands-on educational
materials for international audiences.
The success of activities like the Periscope workshop
demonstrates that tactile, interactive learning experiences
transcend cultural barriers, making them ideal for global
distribution. IPST will pursue expanding hands-on teaching
materials adaptable for various international educational
contexts.
These initiatives represent IPST's commitment to
educational excellence and international collaboration. The
expansion efforts will involve strategic partnerships with
other Thai organizations including National Electronics and
Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) and educational agencies
such as the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC),
the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC), Bangkok
Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and Department of Local
Administration (DLA) to ensure nationwide coverage.
Additionally, IPST continues to seek future international
collaborations to further enhance educational innovation. This
collaborative approach will develop innovative educational
solutions benefiting Thai students while contributing to
global educational advancement through effective teaching
methodologies and cutting-edge technologies.
