2022.10.11 A Publicity and Promotion Sponsorship Agreement concluded with Belgian First Division league Belgian football club Sint-Truiden VV

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition signed a publicity and promotion sponsorship agreement on October 7 with Sint-Truiden VV (STVV), a football club belonging to the Belgian First Division league.
The agreement was realized in response to a proposal on cooperation from the club in order to foster international momentum for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The club to which Japanese players such as former Japan national team players KAGAWA Shinji and OKAZAKI Shinji and which has been promoting people-to-people, economic and cultural exchange between Japan and Europe through sports.
From October 11, 2022 to October 13, 2025, the closing day of the Expo 2025, the club will carry out various PR and promotional activities for people around the world who support European football, such as by using the club’s warm-up wear with logo and displaying the logo at stadium.

All of us at STVV are honored to have signed a publicity and promotion sponsorship agreement with Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition. As the International Exposition, which has a long history in the world, will be held in Osaka, Japan, I am proud to be involved in such a big event as a Japanese. We STVV have been in activities in Europe in the sports world, and would like to take this advantage to promote Osaka, Kansai, and Japan to Europeans from various angles, including not only football, but also Japanese food, music, fashion, and IT.

A football club in the Belgian First Division, founded in 1924. In November 2017, DMM.com LLC acquired management rights. In 2018, former FC Tokyo GM TATEISHI Takayuki became CEO. Its five business pillars are the strengthening of the top team, the enhancement of the academy, the establishment of a new business scheme, the expansion of the stadium, and technological innovation through introduction of IT. SCHMIDT Daniel (former club: Vegalta Sendai), HASHIOKA Daiki (former club: Urawa Reds), Hayashi Daichi (former club: Sagan Tosu), KAGAWA Shinji (former club: PAOK Thessaloniki) and OKAZAKI Shinji (former club: FC Cartagena club) belong to the club.
