2023.06.05 Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, The Netherlands Pavilion Theme is “Common Ground” – Theme and Design Briefing Session Held –

On Monday, June 5, 2023, the Kingdom of the Netherlands held a presentation in Osaka City to announce the theme and design of the Netherlands Pavilion to be exhibited at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
The theme of the Netherlands Pavilion is “Common Ground: creating a new dawn together”. This theme is brought to life through the circular design of the pavilion, where an illuminated sphere, or “man-made sun”, shines brightly at the center of the pavilion to symbolize the sun rising on a future of unlimited clean energy. The slogan of “Common Ground” refers to the commitment of the Netherlands to foster the kind of mutual understanding that is necessary to solve global issues.
The pavilion itself is intended to function as a place that brings together different perspectives and expertise to create joint solutions with worldwide partners for the challenges facing our societies and the planet.
In addition, the “Road2Osaka” campaign has been announced, which will take place in the lead-up to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. This campaign aims at strengthening economic, political, and cultural cooperation with Japan and the East Asian region, and co-creating innovations on the base of “Common Ground.”
