On September 13, 2023, a safety prayer ceremony was held for the Signature Pavilion “Future of Life” (theme: Amplification of Lives) that Thematic Project Producer ISHIGURO Hiroshi is working on for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”), hosted by HASEKO Corporation, the in-kind sponsor of this pavilion.
In addition to Producer ISHIGURO, his android Erica and other people involved with the pavilion, as well as the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) also attended the ceremony.
Construction of the Signature Pavilion “Future of Life” began on September 1, 2023.

Comment from Producer ISHIGURO

Under the slogan of “Amplification of Lives,” this pavilion creates and exhibits what life will be in 50 years and 1,000 years from now and provides you with an unforgettable experience of life.
The building is a symbol of life, and the architectural expression is based on a water landscape, focusing on water as the element that connects inorganic and organic matter.
We will create a pavilion that will give you a sense of the future with HASEKO Corporation, our sponsor, and other related parties.

Comment from ISHIGE Hiroyuki, Secretary General of the Association

I recall that since assuming the position of producer in July 2020, Dr. Ishiguro has been asking not only about his own theme, “Amplification of Lives,” but also about the legacy of this Expo in particular.
I have two comments in terms of the legacy of this Expo. The first is that his pavilion, which shows the “Future of Life”, will surely become one of the most popular pavilions for visitors and will be a legacy for the Expo. Second, during the preparation process, his pavilion is getting more and more young employees of the sponsoring companies involved with lively discussions. This process of preparation is the legacy itself, and the younger generation of people who have grown up in this process is the legacy. I am very excited about what the future holds for these two legacies.
In addition, HASEKO Corporation, the construction company, expressed its willingness to sponsor the Expo at a very early stage, which greatly encouraged all those involved in the preparations for the Expo.
We sincerely hope that the “Future of Life” will be a pavilion that will be recorded in Expo history.
