The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) hereby announces that the Association begins accepting applications for events organized by the general public in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) on Friday, September 15, 2023.
The theme of the Expo is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” The Expo will provide a place to support diverse people who take up the challenge of solving social issues and creating the future, regardless of nationality, region, culture, race, gender, generation, or disability. The aim is that through the Expo, society will support the aspirations of the challengers, thereby expanding the circle of empathy and providing an opportunity to solve social issues.
Our hope is to gather events that have the power to create connections by expressing a wide range of experiences, including participation, presentation, and exhibition, with entertainment that will move the heart, so that people can feel the exciting future close at hand.
Participatory events, such as “festivals,” provide opportunities for the local community to come together and participate. Let’s express and discuss the regional charm and cultures, bring together ideas and passion, and co-create approaches to social issues.
Examples: festivals, workshops, parades, etc.
The presentation-based event will provide a place for the challengers to share their ideas and stories. Let’s express your thoughts and ideas through entertainment and send a message to the future.
Examples: dance and other performance presentations, presentation styles, music concerts, comedy events, etc.
Exhibition-type events provide a place for the presentation of diverse cultures and arts. Let’s show a vision for the future by combining local traditions and new forms of expression, such as exhibition methods and art installations.
We would like to create a place where the various aspirations of the participants, who will play the leading roles, can take shape, and each person’s “challenge” will lead to a step forward that will transform the future. We are looking forward to your applications with passionate event plans for the creation of the future.
