The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) hereby announces that Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa ward, Tokyo; Representative Director, President, Chief Executive Officer: AKASAKA Yuji), which has been selected as the operator of the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) of the “Future Society Showcase Project Exhibition”: “Smart Mobility Expo”, has decided to launch the “JAL MYAKU-MYAKU JET” service with original Expo designs on the entire body of the aircraft in order to build momentum for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).
The first “JAL MYAKU-MYAKU JET” will be a specially painted J-AIR aircraft (E-190) being based in Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport) and will begin operations on November 28, 500 days before the opening of the Expo (November 30), when advance sales of admission tickets will begin.
In addition, a second specially painted plane using JAL aircraft is scheduled to put into service (domestic routes) in the future.

▽About the aircraft design
The aircraft design features original Expo designs, including the official character “MYAKU-MYAKU,” in vivid colors all over the body of the aircraft, expressing the excitement of the upcoming Expo.
