The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) will begin advance ticket sales for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) on Thursday, November 30.
Tickets can be purchased from the “EXPO 2025 Digital Ticket Official Website” as well as from travel agencies and sellers who have a contract with the Association.
To ensure safety and smooth travel for visitors, the Association will introduce a reservation system in which you can reserve a date and time to visit the Expo and apply for lottery tickets to pavilions, events, exhibitions, and other attractions. Various types of tickets are available, such as the “Super Early Bird One-Day Ticket”, which can be purchased at a reasonable price and includes a special lottery for pavilion reservations, and the “Season Pass”, which allows visitors to visit the Expo any number of times during the Expo period. In addition, from the spring of 2024, a “Commemorative Ticket” will also be available for purchase, which allows you to keep the electronic ticket on hand.
The Association will provide information of various pavilions and events leading up to the opening of the Expo and convey the attractions of the Expo.

Reserving admission date and time

The Expo will introduce a reservation system for admission dates and times to ensure safe and smooth travel for visitors.

1. Acceptance of admission date and time reservations
   After purchasing an admission ticket, you must reserve the admission date and time for your visit. Reservations for the admission date and time for your visit will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting from 6 months prior to your desired admission date.
   If you purchase a “Super Early Bird One-Day Ticket” and win the pavilion special lottery held in advance, your admission date and time may be decided earlier than 6 months prior to your visit.
2. Changing admission date and time reservations
   You can change the admission date and time for your visit up to three times (However, it is limited to only within the admission period set for each type of ticket.).
   Even if you are unable to visit on the reserved date and time, you can change it to a later date and time.
   Even if you are unable to visit on the reserved date and time after making three changes to the reserved date and time, you can still use “Same-Day Admission Booking” if a reserved slot becomes available after 0:00 AM on the day of your visit.
3. Reserving admission dates and times for Multiple-Entry Passes
   For the Summer Pass and the Season Pass, you can reserve the admission date and time for the Summer Pass two times and for the Season Pass three times before your visit. After the first visit, you can reserve the admission date and time for your next visit (for example: you can make a reservation for your third visit with the Summer Pass, and your fourth visit with the Season Pass.), and so on. Note that you can change your reservation as many times as you like within the validity period of your Multiple-Entry Pass.

Reservations for pavilions, events and exhibitions

At the Expo, you can make reservations to enter pavilions and also to view events and exhibitions according to the admission date and time that you reserved.
Prior to your admission date, there will be a total of three reservation opportunities (lottery participation [results announced 2 months in advance and 7 days in advance] and first-come, first-served applications for open slots [from 3 days in advance to the day before]). As a bonus, there will be one additional reservation opportunity for the Super Early Bird One-Day Ticket.
In addition to advance reservations, there will also be slots available for admission and viewing on the day by registering on the same day.

3. How to participate in the lottery
   ① Register for your ExpoID and purchase the above-mentioned applicable ticket types on the official ticket sales website.
   ② Link the ticket ID(s) of the applicable ticket types with the ExpoID.
   *If you purchase the above applicable ticket types from a ticket seller or through another method, you must register for an ExpoID separately and perform the prescribed registration process on the official ticket sales website.
   *Applicants who live in Japan are eligible.

“Commemorative Tickets”

For admission to the Expo, we will introduce an electronic ticket using a two-dimensional code as the authentication method. However, you can turn your electronic ticket into a “commemorative ticket” that you can pay for and you keep on hand as proof of admission to the Expo (pre-order applications are scheduled to start around spring 2024).
*To obtain a commemorative ticket, you will need to purchase an admission ticket (electronic ticket).
