In order to expand the “Theme Weeks” initiatives to solve global-scale issues throughout Japan, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition will collaborate with programs outside the Expo site, such as dialogue programs and business exchanges that meet the objectives of the Theme Weeks, as part of “Theme Weeks Connect”.
“Theme Weeks Connect” is an initiative to solve global-scale issues related to the Theme Week’s “8 themes” that will be held outside the Expo site. As an off-site related program of the “Theme Weeks,” the program is not limited to just the Osaka/Kansai area, but is open to participants from all over Japan. Through “Theme Weeks Connect,”
we will collaborate with off-site programs held throughout Japan, aiming to work together as one nation to solve global-scale issues.
In addition, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will serve as a springboard for nationwide efforts to solve global-scale issues by working with other initiatives being implemented throughout Japan.
・ Programs that are consistent with the philosophy of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan
・Initiatives to seek solutions to global-scale issues related to the eight themes of the Theme Weeks through dialogue, exhibitions, etc.
・Program content should include global speakers and expect international participation.
・Dialogue programs (international conferences, forums, special exhibitions, etc.)
・Business exchanges (exhibitions, trade fairs, international conferences, business matching, etc.)
・Participants in the above program are expected to be public organizations, educational/research organizations (universities, research institutes, etc.), companies, NGO/NPO, etc. (※Individuals are not allowed to participate in the program.)
