The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) has now begun accepting applications for the “Satellite Studios” to be developed at the site of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”).
The “Satellite Studios” are broadcasting studios to be constructed in two locations, one on the east of the Expo site and the other on the west, overlooking the Water Plaza. In line with the Expo site design concept of “Unity in Diversity,” the ambitious building designs have been created by young architects. The buildings will contain three broadcast studios of approximately 50 m2 each (six studios in total). From each studio, it will be possible to view the Water Plaza and the rest of the Expo site, as well as feel the bustling atmosphere of the Expo up close and personal.
We are accepting applications for proposals to utilize these six studios to spread the attractions of the Expo to people throughout Japan and around the world through a wide variety of media, including online streaming as well as TV and radio broadcasts.

Friday, January 19 2024: Announcement of application guidelines and start of acceptance of proposal applications
5 pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2024: Deadline for accepting inquiries
Friday, February 16, 2024: Deadline for proposal submissions
Mid-February to late March, 2024: Review and selection
Mid-March 2024 (tentative): Notification of the selection results
After April 2024 (tentative): Conclusion of user contracts
October 2024 (tentative): Handover of buildings
January 2025 (planned): Start of usage
Monday, October 13, 2025: End of usage

Please note: We send you application forms written in Japanese only. All documents to be submitted should also be written in Japanese. As a condition of application, the contract procedure will be executed in Japanese.

   From Friday, January 19, 2024 to Friday, February 16, 2024
3. How to apply
   Please fill out the “Form 0. Non-Disclosure Agreement”, convert it to PDF format, and send it to us via the inquiry e-mail below. We will inform you of the URL for downloading the other documents. In the “Subject” field, please write: [Submission for a Satellite Studio] Non-Disclosure Agreement: ●●●” (enter the applicant’s name in the “●●●” field).
   Please fill in the “03. Application and Proposal Form for a Satellite Studio ” downloaded separately, convert it to PDF format, and send it by e-mail to the same e-mail address within the application period. In the “Subject” field, please write [Submission for a Satellite Studio] Application and Proposal Form: ●●●” (enter the applicant’s name in the “●●●” field).
   A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address of the applicant within three business days. (If the application is submitted on Wednesday, January 24, we will reply by Monday, January 29.)

Acceptance of inquiries

1. Application period
   From Friday, January 19, 2024 to 5 pm, Friday, January 31, 2024
2. How to submit
   Only e-mails to the following address below will be accepted. No questions will be accepted orally, in person, by phone, or by fax.
   In the “Subject” field, please write “[Satellite Studio Inquiry]: ●●●” (enter the name of the person making the inquiry in the “●●●” field) and attach the “Inquiry Form” file containing the content of the inquiry. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address of the sender.
