In order to ensure that Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) does not simply end as a one-time event but leaves a legacy for the future and also to promote the sustainable use of resources, the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) is considering possibilities for effective re-use of the temporary structure that is the Grand Ring after the Expo ends.
The Association will be accepting a wide range of proposals on how to effectively utilize the Grand Ring after the Expo closes from private businesses and public organizations, which will be reviewed at a later date.

Interviews and Publication of an Overview of Proposal Submissions
- Interviews:
If necessary, an interview may be conducted based on the content of the proposal.
The Association will contact interviewees individually to arrange an interview date. Interviews will be conducted in person or online. - Publication of an Overview of Proposal Submissions:
The names of the proposers will not be made public. The results of this call for proposals will be summarized and announced on the Association’s official website. Care will be taken to protect the names, ideas, and expertise of the proposers.
The announcement is scheduled to be made around mid-March 2024.
