The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) has started accepting proposals for sponsors to participate in Expo Site development (3rd round of recruitment) and Expo Site operation (6th round of recruitment) of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”) as sponsorship.
The Association invites enterprises and organisations to become sponsors and provide the facilities, goods, and services necessary for the development and operation of the Expo in order to make the Expo more attractive and more comfortable for all visitors.
With only one year to go before the opening of the Expo, the Association will be accepting applications alongside the ongoing construction of the venue and more specific preparations for visitor services and other operations. Future recruitment rounds are yet to be determined.
As of 1 March 2024, over 500 companies and organisations from a wide range of industries have submitted applications, of which 167 have been selected as sponsors.. Specific details of the sponsorship for venue development and operation will be decided upon consultation between the company/organisation applying and the Association.
■ Recruitment Details
Expo Site Development Participation : Sponsorship in the form of provision of facilities, goods, and services related to site development.
Expo Site Operation Participation : Sponsorship in the form of provision of goods and services necessary for the operation of the Expo.
■ Schedule (tentative)
28 March, 2024 (Thu) : Application guidelines published, and sponsorship applications open.
After receipt of application forms : Individual hearings on sponsorship applications conducted.
23 May, 2024 (Thu) : Deadline for receipt of questions.
30 May, 2024 (Thu) : Deadline for submission of sponsorship application forms.
Mid-June 2024 or later (tentative) : Notification of results of sponsorship application, conclusion of sponsorship agreement, and announcement of sponsor names (in order).
